Stephen M. Gele & Scott Sternberg

Stephen's practice concentrates on casualty litigation, commercial litigation, environmental litigation, construction defect, federal practice, general civil, free speech, campaign finance and government relations. He has tried cases in District and City Courts in the Parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Charles and Lafourche, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He has handled appeals in the Louisiana First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has assisted in drafting a Louisiana Constitutional Amendment, Statute and Code of Civil Procedure Article on Alabama constitutional amendment, statues in multiple states, including Oklahoma, North Carolina, Kansas, and Arkansas, and has testified before the Louisiana and Georgia Legislatures regarding conflict flaws, choice of law, forum selective clauses, forum non conveniens, comity of judgments, and foreign defamation judgments.

He has been quoted in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Washington Times, the American Bar Association Journal, the National Law Journal, the Associated Press, the American Spectator, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the New Orleans Times-Picayune and New Orleans City Business. He has appeared on "Follow the Money with Eric Bolling" on Fox Business Network and CNN.com, as well as several radio shows in multiple states. He has presented a continuing education seminar, and spoken before the Loyola University New Orleans Institute of Politics, regarding campaign finance law.
