Gregg Buisson
A graduate of Loyola University with a double major in Political Science and Communications, Greg Buisson began his career in journalism as a reporter for The Times-Picayune. In 1978, Greg began working with the Louisiana Lieutenant Governor James E. Fitzmorris, Jr. He served as press secretary to the Lt. Governor and was a press liaison in the administrations of Governor Edwin Edwards and Governor Dave Treen. In 1985, Greg joined WVUE-TV as marketing director and rose to become vice-president and general manager over the 13 years there. He led the news station to a strong #2 position in late news against the market’s dominant news leader. He guided the station through its conversion from ABC to FOX. His work promoting and marketing the station earned him hundreds of awards, including the National Association of Broadcasters’ Service to Children Award, the President’s Freedoms Foundation Medal and the National Education Association’s Golden Flame for Advancement of Learning Through Broadcasting. Greg served on the ABC News Affiliate Board of Directors and was a member of the Marketing Board for Columbia/Tri-Star Pictures.
In 1999, Greg created his own marketing and advertising company, Buisson Creative. Greg serves on numerous boards throughout the New Orleans area and was twice president of the New Orleans Advertising Club. He was named the Advertising Regions President of the Year. Greg was honored with the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal Adward for Lifetime Achievement in Advertising. With both political and corporate clients, Buisson Creative is recognized for its uniquely-themed campaigns, high-quality print, radio and television commercials, and high success rate both electing candidates to office and increasing sales for businesses. Greg is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants, and is a signee of the AAPC Code of Ethics
