Jessica Williams

Jessica Williams has been a city politics and government reporter for The New Orleans Advocate since 2015. Before that, she covered Jefferson Parish education for the Times-Picayune and New Orleans education for The Lens, a news website that specializes in investigative journalism. In 2012, she was part of a team that received a National Edward R. Murrow Award for its work following a New Orleans family's recovery after Hurricane Katrina. She attended Edna Karr Secondary School in Algiers and received her bachelor's in journalism from Loyola University New Orleans. 

Jeremy Alford

Jeremy Alford is the editor and publisher of LaPolitics Weekly and The Tracker, Louisiana’s leading trade publications for elected officials, campaign professionals and donors. He's also a regular contributor to The New York Times and has appeared as an analyst-source on CNN, Fox, MSNBC and C-SPAN.

Jeremy is the author of The Last Constitution and co-author of Long Shot. He was the recipient of grant support from the Pulitzer Prizes and Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in 2019, to write about late Governor Kathleen Blanco, and the Center for Public Broadcasting in 2010, to produce a series on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

His political news syndication is carried by more than a dozen newspapers and magazines in Louisiana.
